Terms & Beta Notice
Last updated: 2026-04-22
1. Beta disclaimer
Betpool is in closed, invite-only beta. The service is pre-production. Features may change, data may be wiped without warning, and account access is at the operator's discretion. Nothing on this site is a promise of future availability.
Use at your own risk. Expect bugs. Report them.
2. What we store
When you sign up with an invite code we keep:
- Your chosen username and (if provided) email address
- A salted password hash — never the plaintext password
- Any Telegram account link you establish via
/claim - Any wallet address you link via SIWE, and bets attributed to that wallet from the public Polymarket feed
- Comments and follows you create on the site
- Access metadata (invite code consumed, created_at, last login, deletion/rename timestamps)
We do not sell this data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. It is used to run the service.
3. Wallets
Betpool reads public on-chain Polymarket trades. Linking a wallet attributes its historical bets to your account for reputation scoring. Betpool never custodies funds, never signs transactions, and never asks for a private key or seed phrase. All wallet linking happens through SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum) signatures — you keep your keys.
4. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the account page (or, during the beta, by emailing the contact below). Deletion nulls your PII — email, password hash, wallet attribution, bio, display name, profile image — and reserves your handle for six months in case you change your mind. Your public comments remain on the thread with authorship shown as [deleted].
For deletion requests during the beta, or if you believe your account has been compromised, contact: ronnie@betpool.chat.
5. Not a brokerage
Betpool is a reputation layer over a public, on-chain prediction market. Betpool does not offer, match, clear, or custody trades. All bets placed by users happen on Polymarket or another third-party venue; Betpool simply reads the public ledger and renders scores. Nothing on this site is financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to enter any position.
6. Jurisdiction
Betpool is operated from New York, USA. Users outside jurisdictions where Polymarket is legally available should not attempt to place bets through linked wallets; reading reputation data is permitted anywhere. Responsibility for legal compliance with local gambling or derivatives law rests with the user.
7. Changes
We may update these terms during the beta. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be announced on the splash page.
